Work Shift:  Alternating 3x12, 4x12 schedule
Shift: 
     Position 1:  6:45PM to 7:15AM    Sun - Tues and every other Wed
     Position 2:  6:45PM to 7:15AM   Thurs - Sat and every other Wed
Job Classification:  Non-exempt, hourly (OT premium applies)

Job Requirements

  Description: The NOC Engineer will drive the implementation of a Network Operations Center in support of our client's Cloud Service operations. The NOC Engineer’s contributions will include:

•         Preparation of operational runbooks

•         Implementation and configuration of the monitoring infrastructure

•         Documentation of the ticketing process from alert capture, to alert triage, to runbook processing, through escalation, to ticket resolution

•         Design incident reporting, both operational reporting and management reporting

•         Document the interaction between the Cloud Service Operations team and the Cloud Service Engineering team

•         Define the infrastructure taxonomy to be implemented into the selected incident management system

•         Document the bug tracking process and the engineering change management process Qualifications:

•         5+ years’ experience working in a NOC environment

•         Must have hands-on NOC experience in the following capacities:

•         Runbook creation

•         Experience with open source monitoring tools (Nagios for example)

•         Incident management

•         Escalation management

•         Incident reporting

•         Engineering change management

•          Must have exceptional communication skills with the ability to work hand-in-hand with both business users/stakeholders and with technical resources (sysadmins, database admins, network admins, software engineers)

•         Must have good working experience with ticketing systems:  Jira (preferred), ServiceNow, Remedy, others
