Job Description

The ideal candidate has experience with the Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Defect Tracking Systems, Software Version Control Systems, a fundamental understanding of Data Encryption and Encryption Algorithms, possesses strong organizational skills, and is an effective communicator in both oral and written forums. She or he must work well in dynamic and often informal teams. She or he should also be able to coordinate disparate priorities and constraints on development teams, manage different personalities, and maintain objectivity and a strong understanding that software compliance is just one of the business's activities. 

The Software Compliance Automation Specialist works as a member of the Security and Compliance group. Qualified individuals have a strong technical background with experience in DevOps and/or Release Management, and a proven ability to troubleshoot complex systems/solve puzzles, along with the ability to balance multiple projects, meet deadlines with quality, and collaborate successfully with global teams.

Primary Responsibilities 
• Manage day to day functional tasks related to Export Control: 
o Maintain awareness of new code introduced into the codebase 
o Execute Export Control automation to scan new code 
o Analyze scan results to identify code with Export Control concerns 
o Prepare reports/communication of Export Control findings

• Manage day to day functional tasks related to Change Management Audit: 
o Perform periodic / on-demand review of Change Management reports 
o Assist in analysis of unknown/unidentified changes to codebase affecting a release 
o Maintenance of the Change Management Audit automation:
 MS SQL Server Database
Manage day to day functional tasks related to New Component Process: 
o Maintenance of automation which scans codebase for new third party dependencies 
o Review of new third party component reports, facilitate awareness of existing reports among team members 
o Coordinate with IP Audit and Security Analysts to ensure sub-tasks germane to acceptance of a new component are completed

Job Requirements

• Preferred candidates 5 + years of technical experience in the fields of software application development, or development operations (DevOps) 
• Must be able to work independently and in a team environment 
• 2+ year college degree or final year enrollment to obtain a degree in a field such as Computer science or related is preferred  Required Skills/Experience 
• Thorough understanding of version control systems, ideally GitHub 
• Thorough understanding of defect management systems, ideally JIRA 
• Thorough understanding of cryptography and encryption algorithms 
• DevOps or System Administration experience 
• Experience / exposure to Java, Linux/UNIX, Javascript, shell scripting, SQL 
• Ability to troubleshoot complex systems / have a passion for puzzle solving! 
• Team oriented individual with strong communication skills
